222 Squadron took 7 lucky cadets Gliding at RAF Syerston on Sunday 30th April 2023.

It was worth the 05:30am start to travel to the Airfield, which upon arrival presented perfect weather for flights in the Viking T1 to take place.

There were a few nerves in the safety briefing, which were quickly replaced with smiles after the cadets in their gliders were winch launched into the skies above Newark-on-trent.
